WHOLE CHILD EDUCATION AND EFFECTIVE FAMILY COMMUNITY SUPPORT
Holistic Education for children is imperative at all levels with an emphasis on early childhood education. There are two critical components to making children successful adults. The first is introducing children to education that strengthens them spiritually, mentally, physically, and socially. The second is the village to which the child belongs, whether by birth or by circumstance. Winsome Wishes for Kids is committed to guiding both components, especially equipping teachers and schools with information through teacher training and family/community support.

QUALITY EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT AND OPPORTUNITIES
How does Winsome Wishes for Kids hope to facilitate quality early childhood education in Jamaican schools? It is through their primary focus on teacher training. As it stands the early childhood sector in Jamaica is critically in need of partners that will expose them to the best and current early childhood and special needs information that they can implement immediately. One of the biggest challenges is resources both physically and through courses and workshops. Solidifying the relationship and officially partnering with The Windward Institute in New York will get teachers all access passes to the most current training and opportunities in the sectors.

DEDICATION AND COMMITTMENT - NURTURE CHILDREN LEARNING AND PROVIDE ENRICHMENT OPPORTUNITIES
Based on the magnitude of the issues that need to be addressed in the education sector in Jamaica, the words dedication and commitment become very operative as to what it will take to shift the paradigm. Winsome Wishes for KIDS has already shown both dedication and commitment by embarking on various enrichment activities for teachers and schools that include technology support, training support and social/emotional support.

Winsome Wishes for KIDS seeks to engage noted experts in the field of Education, Social Work, Psychology and any other relevant discipline to empower teachers and parents with important and pertinent information that will detect and find early solutions to ensure the success of children and families.

To date Winsome Wishes for KIDS has formed key strategic partnerships that are in keeping with its mission and vision. They continue to seek other partnerships and collaborations that can enhance existing strategies and also other partnerships that introduce new strategies and resources.

"When we started out in September 2022, some of my 5 yr olds already knew most if not all of the letter sounds, as they were introduced to the Graphogame App a year ago. when it was introduced at our school in September 2021. However, there were two of them who didn't recognize the letters in their name.
Some didn't have devices of their own. So I implemented a tablet day; everyone who had a device would take it on Fridays and we would allow others to use devices I could find; my laptop, my phone and tablet, my grandson's tablet, etc. On weekends, I would send home devices with one of the students who had access to nothing at home.
I find that the students who used the Graphogame a lot did very well with reading and phonics activities.
Also, my students who were behind the others improved significantly. They were not able to read as well as their classmates but they had become very familiar with the alphabet sounds and that one girl was writing her name independently."

The Vaz Prep School, Kingston, Jamaica
"The Vaz Prep School was introduced to the Graphogame by Winsome Wishes for Kids. As the Principal, I encouraged the lower school cohort and those who were struggling with reading to download the game on their devices. Although I am not in a position to confirm how many did, the feedback from some who did has been positive. In the coming school year we intend to make it mandatory for 3, 4 and 5 year old students to have the game on their devices and have the teachers structure Graphogame time weekly. This approach is sure to bring greater success at reading in our young students."

Lannaman's Prep School, Kingston, Jamaica
"The student in the recording started Lannaman's Prep School in January 2023 in Grade 4. He came from a government Primary School. He entered at Pre-Primer reading level. Since using the Graphogame he is now reading at the Grade-1 level fluently. He is ending the school year now beginning to read at the Grade-2 level. His mother also gave recorded testimony.
The Graphogame is one of the best educational tools. The perfect stepping stone to reading. Hearing the letter sounds helps the children to remember and identify words. They see it as fun while learning. Our Grade-4 students who are underperforming in reading are benefitting tremendously from playing the game. A few of them have moved from pre-primer readers, reading fluently at Grade-1 level and ending the school year beginning to read at the Grade-2 level. Thank you Winsome Wishes for Kids.
